If you look closely at the base of the tree line about one-fourth of the way in from the left, you will see a nice looking elk (wapiti). The Tetons have been photographed so much that I wanted to do something a little special with this image. Sometimes honesty can be a little bothersome because it requires that I admit to "planting" the elk there. I made his portrait at another location but gave him a new home here in Jackson Hole. It seems to me that he has settled in nicely in his new home. He really looks good in the full size print (32" x 16") of this image.
